Hello, my name is J.L. Johnson Jurgensen, and I am a creative writer, storyteller, and photographer.
I mainly write poetry and creative non-fiction. I published my first children’s book, Junebug and the Supermoon, in 2020. You can find out more about it and future projects on our publishing website, Humblebump.
I am a writer because I want to share my experiences—good, bad, and ugly— to show my readers they are not alone and to provide them with a sense of hope even in the darkest of times.
Living everywhere from the Deep South to the West Coast has provided me with a rich, cultured background and cultivated an appreciation for the arts and travel. Naturally, I am a student of the Humanities, primarily focusing on literature and creative writing.
